Lost and Found

LOST: 1 (dearly needed and missed) Camera Battery Charger

:(

Just as the fireworks started last night, my dependable camera decided to check out and my charger is nowhere to be found. I was so upset that I wasn’t able to share the fireworks show I saw last night because it was truly the best display I have ever seen. Just imagine with me for a moment: sitting beach side, enormous bonfires dotting the coast (and I mean every few feet there was one, it made for quite the view looking down the beach), and about seven different firework displays being set off all around you. My parents and I figured since the show wasn’t professionally done, that it would be about fifteen minutes off rinky-dink sparklers and pops. Boy…..were we wrong! There were multiple groups of people putting on fireworks shows, one (the best one!) going on right next to us. These people spared no expense…..they must have spent a couple thousand (maybe ten?!?!?) on fireworks, because the show went on for TWO whole hours. The fireworks were huge, beautiful, and bright……it was the best fourth of July display I have ever seen ! So amazing! Ella was thoroughly freaked out however, and wouldn’t leave my arms the entire night  (I didn’t mind the snuggling though :) ).

Today we came back home and had a relaxing, yet an eventful day off. I finally went to see……

ECLIPSE! It was so good! My favorite movie so far! Sorry to all you Edward fans, but I <3 Jacob…..sexaaaaay. LOL!

Got some great stuff in the mail today too! Report card (all A’s! :) ), the new Seventeen and Fitness magazine, and a great little package from Alvarado Street Bakery !

I mentioned this company before in one of my first posts, discussing my favorite staple breads.

Alvarado sent me a brochure on their products, as well as coupons and a certificate for a free product. So I hit up the local co-op in search of some of their products. Here’s what I came out with:

Their sprouted wheat tortillas and their Flax Seed bread. As I said, the flax seed bread is one of my favorites. It is doughy, has tons of nuts and seeds in it for texture, and toasts up like a dream (so important). I love my toast and boy does this loaf get crispy. It’s got tons of omega-threes from the flax and for two slices is only 100 calories! Perfect for snacks.

check out these ingredients!!!

The tortillas were enjoyable, too! They reminded me a lot of the French Meadow Bakery tortillas I previously reviewed, doughy and soft…. but they crisped up really nicely in the panini maker. I used one for dinner to wrap up a left over lentil salad that I had made over the weekend. I was really happy with the tortillas durability, because even though the lentil salad was moist…..the tortillas didn’t get soggy and prevented a potentially sloppy situation. It was all gooooood! I will definitely be using up those coupons they sent. I love all the organic, good for you grains Alvarado produces.

Thanks again ASB!

Along with the bread products, I purchased some other goodies.

The return of an old friend:

So happy Almond Breeze is back in my life….it is by far the best Almond milk. So creamy! I have tested out other brands but none compare to the creaminess of Almond Breeze. I don’t know how they do it!

And that big yellow blob isn’t a grapefruit….but a Pumelo.I first tried these on my trip to San Diego and have been looking for them ever since. They are like a mixture of an orange and a grapefruit and are super delicious. Sweet and tart at the same time. I like it!

Off to watch the telly in my newly air conditioned room.

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend (if you had one :) ).

Good Night lovelies!

Aww I wished I good of seen those fireworks. Unfortunately the rain kept me from seeing any but the ones on TV.

I totally agree Jacob is looking mighty fine! I wish I could watch the movies again just to see him haha!
