May I present:

Chocolate-covered Strawberry Overnight Oats !
So chocolatey, so delicious<- all thanks to the Swanson unsweetened cocoa powder I received yesterday!
Get your chocolate on:
*1/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats
*1 cup plain greek or regular yogurt
*2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder (a little goes along way)
*cinnamon to taste
*1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
*8 frozen strawberries
Get cookin’ (or not actually):
Mix the first 4 ingredients in to a bowl and place in the refrigerator overnight. Then in the morning place the banana and the strawberries in a food processor to make awesome strawberry softserve and place on top of the ONO. Then with the toppings of your choice: dried fruit, nuts, granolas, cereals, enjoy your masterful chocolate creation!
I absolutely love the unsweetened cocoa powder that Swanson sent me. It has a great soft texture and a slight bitter taste (like dark chocolate) that paired so well with the sweetness from the softserve. Just using the little bit that I did flavored my WHOLE bowl of oats and made for super flavorful, desert like breakfast! Every bite was like taking in a huge mouthful of freshly I can’t wait to make some other chocolate meals….pancakes anyone?
I topped my ONO with the other Swanson products I received:organic goji berries (Himalayan superfruit), organic dried plums, and organic dried figs. All were really fresh and very chewy as dried fruit should be.
The goji berry’s are slightly harder than most other dried fruit and have a really pleasant slight licorice flavor. These added a great variety of flavor to my oats.
The figs, which are my favorite dried fruit, were super soft and when I chopped them up into smaller pieces there flavors were released really well. I have never had a fresh fig, but if they are anywhere as good as the Swanson organic dried figs, I’m sure I will like them!
The dried prunes are like those lifesaver gummy candy’s, chewy, sticky, and oh so good. When you think of prunes….don’t attomatically write them off because of a bad experience with prune juice
, they are sweet and seriously like a piece of candy! Natures candy.
Thank you to Swanson for sending me such awesome samples! I can see what high quality standards you hold your products to! Check out their health blog for more info on their products, recipes, and much more cool stuff.
Here’s my lunch pic before I head off to work:
All American hot soy dog with dijon, a juicy grapefruit (can’t get enough of these lately), a pomegranate passion fruit Siggis, and an unpictured bowl of homemade tomatoe soup w/ melted mozarella….hmm hmm good!
Movie night later with ma best friends! Should be fun.

ps. is it bad that 1/4 of the sunflower butter is gone already? No, no it isn’t.
