Bon Voyage!

Or Zai Jian ( in chinese) to be linguistically correct.

In less than 24 hours, I will be boarding a plane on my way to China!!! Today was a productive day in the packing department (in other words I procrastinated and left ALL my packing for today). Although it took me almost all day to pack….it’s now done and I am relaxing before my 3 am wake up call. My plane leaves at 6 am and heads to Detroit, where we have a 4 hour layover, then we move on to Seattle, and finally take our last flight to Beijing where we will arrive on Tuesday at 11:42 pm. Long day 2 days of travelling…..but the payoff is getting to experience two weeks in an amazing new country!

Let me back track a little bit.

I started off the day with my favorite breakfast because I knew I would be without it for two WHOLE weeks. I had to get my last fix. :)

As delicious as always!

Had that big bowl of ONO with two soft boiled eggs and a new favorite seasoning. Garlic Gold Nuggets!

I will have a full review of all the products Garlic Gold sent me, but just so you know these nuggets rock! They are full of great roasted garlic flavor and the perfect addition to any dish you would use regular sea salt. The nuggets tasted great on my eggs. A whole new flavor experience!

Then, with my mom’s help, I packed up my life into a big black suitcase. I probably overpacked, but better be safe than sorry.

new sunglasses!

Its supposed to be hot while I’m there so lots of summer clothes were needed. I brought tons, so I am sure I will be ready for the supposedly over 100 degree temps.

Snack were also packed I(for the plane and for my stay):

Some of the things I brought include:

*heart thrives

*larabars

*GNU bars

*Nakd Bar

*Betty Lous Just Good Stuff Bars

*whole wheat pretzels

*fruit leather

*fruit

*Clif C bars

and a lot more good stuff. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all prepared for tomorrow as well.

After I was finally done packing, it was close to dinner time and my parents decided to take me out for a farewell dinner. I chose to go to Wasabi, a sushi restaurant right down the street from us.

Sorry, there are not many pics. We ordered a ton of food, so much in fact they brought it out on a huge boat looking platter. It was pretty funny. We all jumped in so quickly that I didn’t get a chance to capture all the sushi together but here’s a few pics nonetheless:

Afterwords, we went next door to the conveniently located local candy/ ice cream shop. My dad and I split a pistachio nut ice cream ( I was so full!!!) and my mom got peanut butter chip frozen yogurt. Sharing all around, of course.

yum.

Now I am home, relaxing, and actually have to be off to bed in a bit so I can actually wake up in the morning. Wish me luck!

The next time I chat with you all, I’ll be in China! I will blasting you guys with tons of photos everyday…it’ll feel like you’re there with me. :)

Getting really excited.

Have a good night all.
