WIAW-March Madness Edition!!

Did your school ever have a ‘spirit week’ when you were in high school? Well that’s exactly what March brings for my school every year! We don’t have a football team or anything like that, so we sort of miss out on all the homecoming events and fun. Instead student council uses March (the month we have absolutely NO days off Sad smile) to drum up some school spirit and keep everyone going until Spring Break!

Everyday has a different theme and there are activities and fun going on during lunch periods all week!

Here are the themes for this years March Madness week:

Monday-Pajama Day

Tuesday-Clash Day (wear your most crazy mismatched outfit)

Wednesday-Class Color Day (seniors are RED!!! Woo!)

Thursday-‘Back in the Day’ Day (dress up in your favorite era’s style)

Friday-School Spirit Day

Tuesday is always the most fun day in my opinion…I love seeing everyone’s crazy outfits!! Haha! Here’s mine…

So needless to say, this week will be a little more out of the ordinary at school and a lot more tolerable than usual Winking smile

Moving on from the March Madness fun…we gotta get on with the FOOD. It is WIAW after all!

(hey jenn hey!)

[The new Clean Eating came out!! Can’t wait to try some of the recipes out!]

002

007

[tilapia, orange pepper, tomato, celery, mushroom, zucchini, cucumber, onion, and coleslaw salad with a creamy humus dressing]

008

[Bought some seeds to plant in my veggie garden for this year! Last year’s was great so I can’t wait to have my own vegetables growing in the backyard again!]

002

[Heavily topped green monster…just the way I like ‘em!]

004

[Peanut Butter and raisin tortilla wedges with eggs and salsa]

003

[taco salad with quesadillas on the side]

001

[humus and cucumber flatbreads with a blueberry larabar]

I am on a Blueberry larabar kick lately!! They are just so addicting! Dare I say…my favorite flavor? Naaah. I can’t pick just one! But I will say blueberry muffin is right up there with cherry pie, apple pie, pb and j, lemon bar, and cappuccino as my favorites!

Other foods I have been loving lately..fresh chopped salads, juicy oranges, tortillas stuffed with ANYTHING, asparagus, warm peanut butter fruit bowls, and LOTS OF HUMUS!

Are you craving any particular foods lately???

——

Well that’s all for me on this lovely WIAW!

I have some big news to share with you all later this week! So stay tuned for that!

Hope everyone’s week is going well. Remember, keep your head up and know that you have people to lean on when you’re feeling alone or low. I’m here if any of you ever need to vent or just need a friendly chat! Smile

I’ve been craving hummus too! I had it for dinner two nights in a row. And now I want more.

Love you mismatched outfit! Haha. We had spirit week too but practically nobody partook in it because there weren’t any signs telling us what the theme was

Everything looks amazing! I’ve been on such a LaraBar kick lately too! Blueberry, Cappuccino, PB Chocolate Chip, and Apple Pie are my favorites. But, let’s be honest, I love them all.
And I used to LOVE spirit weeks in high school. They were so much fun. I always went a little crazy with my outfits (maybe it’s the actresses in us? we like to be expressive! haha) Your mis-matched outfit is fabulous. :D

Ahh spirit week! When I went to a private high school, spirit week was the best!

Also, I <3 pita pizzas… you just made me inspired to make one SOON! I was addicted in the summer :)

Oh spirit week. I’m actually one of those jerks who always does the opposite. I HATE my school I don’t like to show them love. Black out day= neon colors day for me and my friends. It’s glorious.

I’ve been craaaving chocolate like mad. It’s crazy, and really bad.

I also want to plant some veggies again this year, but I don’t exactly know with which ones I’ll go yet! Tomatoes will sure be involved,as well as eggplants, but what else…? I need something that’s easy to handle, haha :D Cucumbers, maybe?

I’ve been craving so much fruit lately! I guess it’s the weather,as soon as the sun is shining,I want fruit! ;)
