Thinking Thoughts

Just some random tid-bits that have crossed my mind over the past few days…

1. Last week’s Office episode was SO SAD. Seriously, it’s bad enough that this is the last season, but now Jim and Pam are having relationship struggles. I CAN’T HANDLE THIS.

2. Its one thing to just smell plain BAD in the gym, but ya know what’s worse? Smelling like stank covered with baby powder! Nauseating. I seriously couldn’t breathe the other day…the smell was that strong.

3. Guess who I saw when I was watching Ellen last week! Emily (formerly TheVegtress)! It was so cool seeing someone I “know” in the audience!

4. Speaking of Ellen, I am trying to score tickets to a show in March! I keep going on the site but for some reason the ticket calendar doesn’t work for me! If anyone knows how to get tickets or has a special contact (*wink*), let me know!

5. The Following is such a good show! If you haven’t seen it yet, you should definitely check it out…Mondays at 9 on FOX!

6. Mindy Kaling is one of my new heroes. I just finished reading her book (well listening to it on audiobook…which was even better because she reads it herself!) and totally got a girl crush! She is hilarious and I love her attitude towards life. She’s realistic, hard-working, and doesn’t try to fit any of the stereotypes that people have set for her. Basically, I want her life.

7. I would love to live in NYC. Don’t ask me why I’ve been thinking about this lately…but the lifestyle there just seems to suit me. Maybe someday :)

8. Being a comedian would be awesome. Especially with a cool sitcom, improve job, or sketch comedy show. I love performing as it is, but my favorite roles have always been the ones that draw the biggest laughs from the audience.

9. No matter how much you sweep, the floors are never clean. Proven fact.

10. It’s damn cold out. Especially when 25 degrees (like it was today) starts to feel like a heat wave. It totally is seeing as it’s been less than 5 degrees for the past few days! Click here to see some people who might be colder than you are…

11. Being vulnerable, honest, and willing to open up to people can really get you far. I used to be so afraid to share things with people, reach out, and ask for help…but now that I’m doing it more often, I see how valuable it is. It makes me feel so much more connected to people and makes my relationships so much more meaningful. Thank you to all my new friends!

12. I have a carrot and nut butter problem. I literally eat this combo every day. Need to switch things up or I risk turning orange ;)

13. I FINALLY SAW LES MIS. Amazing. Now I need to see it on stage ASAP. Like now.

14. I am going with my parents to a casino later this month to see a Beatles impersonation band…no shame.

15. Philosophy is really interesting. I was always a little intimidated by thought of taking it as a course, but now that I’m in it, I love it! I feel so smart whenever my professor says something! Just being around him and hearing all his comebacks to everything we have to say is wonderful…it really makes you think before you speak!

16. Where does Alex find her amazing gifs?! Seriously! They are always on point!

17. Just booked a spring break trip to visit my sister! Cannot wait.

18. My school is having a Wipe-Out event tomorrow…like the TV show! I am getting pumped for some serious laughs. And you better believe I will be competing! :)

Okay that’s enough crazy, random word vomit for today. Thank you for indulging my spontaneous bit of thinking out loud! Off to make soup for the week!

there is so much I want to comment on this… where to even begin. first off, I adore gifs. it is so much fun finding them. I will never stop haha! nyc actually really scares me, like I love visiting (my aunt lives there) but could not live there. I say that, but who knows maybe I should give it a shot one day. i have never tried nut butter and carrots, I am a hummus lover with carrots so that is my go to. the office was freaking heartbreaking, I could not stand them fighting. you saw my tweet, totally devastating. I have never even seen of the following or the mindy project, I guess I may need to see if hulu has them now that I have no cable. I didn’t know you were such a big fan of ellen… i guess you may like my post tomorrow. kind of hilarious that you just mentioned it. I hope you get tickets, that is like my dream to be in the audience of a show, preferable saturday night live. a girl can dream. Keep opening up lady, I know it will be worth it. it is tough but worth it.

Well, I love that almost all of the ‘people colder than you’ images are from the UK, many of them quite near to me! The runners were my favourite, obviously. That’s basically been me most days only any photo would probably capture me mid-slipping or falling over. Other days I’ve just said to Hell with the whole thing and gone on the treadmill.

I’m glad you’ve found opening up to be helpful – keeping everything to yourself only leads to even more destructive places, I find.

Hope you enjoy the Wipeout challenge and do not..err, wipe out!

Dude, have fun at the Wipe Out-like competition!!! I bet you will win because you’re so athletic! I really want to read the Mindy Kaling book now.

Also, I agree… it’s way too cold out!
