[Helloooo! To anyone who is stopping by after seeing me on Winging It! on Friday morning! Happy you're here!]

Not only is there a ton of spotlight on the Lend a {Healthy} Hand project right now because of the upcoming anniversary, but yesterday I was given the opportunity to chat with a local TV station about the project and my blog! Although the interview didn’t focus as much on the project as I thought it would, any press is good press and if it gets people to come to my site, read about the project, and resolve to help others more often….then that’s all I could ask for!

Before I get to all the TV fun (<—-and it really was a TON of fun!), I want to share DAY 4 of TEN DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS with you all!

Did you miss the other days? Check them out!

And now for those details on my 15 minutes (More like 4 minutes…haha! That’s how long the segments are!) of fame!

I arrived on set at around 8:45 and was greeted by some of the other guests in the green room! Got pretty close with this guy….

Next I got mic-ed up, told when I’d be going on, and sat tight until it was time for my interview! Here’s the interview in full…

Once I was done, they asked me to stick around till the end of the show to film a ‘wing tip’ to be aired at a later date on one of their other shows! Here’s the footage of that!

Big shout out to my mom for being my personal paparazzi!

Overall it was a really fun experience and I would love to go back on the show and share even more healthy living tips!

Those few minutes of fame are no joke haha. When I was Jr Miss New York a few years ago I was able to better steer the questions to fit my platform as I had more appearances. A lot of times the anchors don’t really have a good clue as to the details of all that you do, so it’s good to help guide them. I thought you did a great job and were such a natural. I hope you get to do more things and maybe even be a part of a monthly segment to share your fitness tips or healthy help. Great job again, Kaila! In response to the question- I would love to have energy bars delivered to my door each month :)

That’s so cool that your Lend a {Healthy} Hand project was featured on TV, and such a fun experience I’m sure! As an aspiring broadcast journalist, I’ve been on TV doing the weather for my college TV station but almost no one watches that lol but hopefully in the next few months I get my first real job as a reporter or anchor!

I love the idea of these subscription food boxes–it’s a good way to try out new things that maybe aren’t available in stores!

Huge congratulations on your TV appearance! The interviewer did seem to bounce around his topics a lot, didn’t he? You handled everything so well though: you’re a pro at such a young age. I’ve never been on live TV (that would scare the living daylights out of me), but I’ve been interviewed for a video about the Kielder Marathon once, and I also made a brief appearance in a news feature when an original musical production at my primary school won an award (I was 11). They only interviewed the photogenic kids though (I’m not joking – I heard the producer say so!) so ob viously I wasn’t picked and remained in the background.

Dillon the armadillo is beyond gorgeous. I may have squealed a little when I saw his picture. I don’t think I have seen any exotic animals that can compete with that!
