WIAW: Smoothie Celebration! [giveaway]

It’s w-w-w-wiaw!! Can you tell I’m a little enthusiastic? Well that’s because this post is dedicated to one of my favorite breakfasts…SMOOTHIES! More specifically SIABs (smoothie in a bowl!).

pumpkinspicesmoothies.jpgSmoothie season is upon us so what better time to celebrate all their deliciousness! I have tons of people asking me for my smoothie recipes and while I do have some of them in my recipage…I have yet to share my Pumpkin Spice smoothie recipe!

It uses Amazing Grass’s Pumpkin Spice greens powder and it tastes AMAZING. <—-Guess Amazing Grass’s name makes perfect sense!

Pumpkin Spice Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 pear, sliced
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop pumpkin spice Amazing Grass superfood powder
  • 2 cups of raw spinach
  • ice
  • a shake of cinnmon
  • 1/2 tsp guar gum (optional)

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a high powered blender and blend until evenly combined and smooth! Pour into a large bowl and top with desired toppings (I like: corn puffs, ezekiel cereal, oats, coconut flour, mulberries, raisins, goji berries, and freeze dried pumpkin!).

As you know, I am a HUGE fan of Amazing Grass’s products….some of my favorites include their Chocolate, Chocolate Peppermint, and Pumpkin Spice greens powders, their Vanilla Chai and Cafe Mocha Amazing Meal, and their two newest greens flavor Watermelon Energy and Tangerine Immunity!     Yum! Smoothies in a bowl do sound tasty…might have to try that soon, I’ve never done it. It’s definitely getting to be smoothie season. And some healthy help I can share is I gave some nutrition and workout advice to a friend in need today. She’s wanting to get into a healthier lifestyle. I support her completely!

    Your eats are always so interesting – and they make me hungry ;) I love a good SIAB – I only recently learnt how to make them thick enough! Greens are ALWAYS in the mix, in the spinach/kale form – but I’ve been after a powder for a while – have entered the comp!

    Whenever you post a picture of those FinnCrisp crackers it makes me think of my dad because he always has these around at work, too. And that stew in the first picture – minus the chicken thighs ;) – looks good.
    Some healthy help this week so far was doing the dishes for my roommate.

    YAY! Smoothies!

    My go-to ingredients are definitely banana and frozen spinach…they tend to be the base for 90% of my smoothies. Lately I’ve been throwing in chopped cucumbers too– they don’t add any flavor but they make for a nice texture and a little extra greens!

    I LOVE Amazing Grass! Their pineapple lemongrass flavor is my go-to currently and I loved their chocolate peppermint protein powder during the holidays but I’m most excited for their new watermelon flavor! Watermelon is my summertime obsession so it sounds perfect for smoothies.

      Hey Hannah! I like NOW foods unflavored whey and Source Organic Raw whey! I also like Amazing Grass’s Amazing Meal protein products in Cafe Mocha and Vanilla Chai!
