Ever since I published my Hawaiian Tuna Burger recipe a few years back, I’ve been trying to think of a way to marry those flavors together again and make something even more delicious.
Well it’s TACO TUESDAY and today is that day!
You all know I LOVE seafood. So when I had the chance to try a new brand of tuna recently, I was pumped! Blue Harbor Fish Co sent me a few pouches of their 3 albacore tuna. Both the regular and the no salt varieties are wild, line caught, and have no fishy taste to them at all. Just clean, premium fish that tastes fresh and flavorful. Their products are also, gluten-free, soy-free, and dolphin safe! I love seafood that is healthy AND sustainable.
I tried the tuna on its own first and was in LOVE with the fresh, clean flavor. I knew it would work perfectly in the taco recipe I had in mind.
With a mix of fresh herbs, fruit, sauces, seasonings, and my favorite green chillies, I created a tasty taco filling that seafood lovers and non-seafood lovers alike will enjoy!
- 1 8oz can of crushed pineapple
- ⅓ cup brown rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
- 1 7oz can diced green chilies
- ½ red onion, diced
- ½ cup cilantro, chopped
- ½ teaspoons sea salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 packages Blue Harbor Wild Albacore Tuna
- 2 tablespoons black sesame seeds
- 1 package of flour or corn tortillas
- Heat remaining oil in a large skillet over high. Add tuna , onion, pineapple, chilies, rice vinegar, and coconut sugar to the skillet; cook until everything is heated through and the onions are translucent. Turn off the heat and stir in the cilantro and sesame seeds.
- Fill tortillas with desired amount of tuna taco mixture and enjoy!

Gluten-free, high in lean protein, and so flavorful, these Hawaiian Tuna Tacos will be a tropical vacation for your taste buds. They’re also incredibly easy to throw together and only require one skillet. Easy to make and easy to clean up! My kind of recipe.
I hope you try these next time you’re looking to switch up your usual homemade taco mix! Who knew fish tacos could be so simple to make and so delicious?!
