Introducing the first ever Healthy Helper Virtual 10K! A fun run in collaboration with Women’s Health Run10Feed10 Race Series. Join Team Healthy Helper for an opportunity for personal growth, fitness accomplishment, and charitable giving!
Guess what, guys?! For the first time ever, YOU have the chance to RUN with ME!
Well, sort of. 😉
I am coming to you today with an exciting announcement. It’s something I’ve never done before I and I am pumped to share this opportunity for personal growth, fulfillment, and charity with you all.
As you know, I have recently gotten back into running. It’s really perfect timing because the Run10Feed10 events that I help promote with Women’s Health are just starting around the country! People are either beginning their training for the big city runs in places like NYC or LA, taking part in the multiple fun runs hosted by my fellow Women’s Health Action Heroes, or planning to run their own 10k on their own time.
While all of those are great options, I thought it would be fun for anybody who doesn’t have access to a main race or local fun run to still have the option of ‘running with others’. Motivating yourself to get out and run your own 10k, especially if you’re a new runner, can be difficult. However, if you have a sense of camaraderie and fellowship with runners from all around the country, a set date and time, and the knowledge that you’re apart of a larger group making a difference for the less fortunate….it’s a little easier to get out there and complete those miles! 🙂
So that’s exactly what we’re going to do! I am hosting the first ever Healthy Helper Virtual 10K!
Don’t worry! It’s not about time or finishing first, it’s about setting a goal, dedicating yourself to a good cause, and most of all HAVING FUN. There will prizes given out to 3 random participants and because you’ll be registering for the Run10Feed10 race series in order to participate, you’ll get all the swag and goodies that come when you sign up.
Let’s give a quick shoutout to the sponsors of my first 10K…
Best of all, TEAM HEALTHY HELPER (yes you’ll be on my exclusive team!), has the chance to really make an impact on the entire Run10Feed10 fundraiser for FEED. If you’re not familiar with FEED, read my original introduction post to the race series that I wrote earlier this summer. Here’s the gist though…for every person that joins my team, 10 meals will be donated to people in need struggling with feed their families. 10 MEALS! My goal is to have at least 200 meals donated because of Team Healthy Helper’s efforts. That’s 20 people. Only 20 people, whether you’re a veteran runner or have never run a race in your life, need to sign up in order for us to make an impact on 200 individual lives around the country.
So are you in? The race will take place on Saturday, October 15th. No specific time because I want to allow some flexibility for you to be able to make it work for your schedule!
Sign up using the form below if you’re up for it and make sure to use code WHPROULX when you register on Run10Feed10.com!
Here are some helpful 10K training plans as well, if you’re running one for the first time!
Don’t feel like you’re able to commit to the virtual run? That’s okay! I’d still really appreciate a donation to the Run10Feed10 charity here. When you click the link you’ll be taken to my individual fundraising page where you can donate any amount you’d like! No obligations to run or train or anything! Just a good Samaritan donation to a great cause.
Thank you in advance for your participation and support in this new endeavor of mine! It’s my first time organizing a virtual race and I am really excited. I hope you’ll join and RUN WITH ME! 🙂
