Wake ups with no alarm.
Lying in bed just a little longer
with my animals,
enjoying their quiet company and love.
No thoughts of rushing or

Food does not plague my mind.
A necessity but also a passing thought,
Morning walks with mom.
Activity and movement, not exercise and workouts.
Enjoying each breath and accepting
my body for what it is now.
What it does for me, who I am,
not what I look like.
No fighting it. No wishes to move backwards.
Only forward progress. Only hard work towards my goals.
Every day is new. Every day brings something good.
Despite slip ups. Regardless of mistakes.
I am new. I am renewed each day.
It’s time I make up for lost time.
For time lost to racing thoughts,
strict rules, and self-punishment.
