A roundup of the best foods to pair with your favorite creamy, delicious nut butter…peanut butter, of course! Celebrate National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day by munching on one of these perfect PB pairings!
Where are my peanut butter lovers at?
Two hand raised high for this girl!
If you’re a true peanut butter lover you’ll know that aside from being the first day of March (the unofficial official start of spring in my book!) it is NATIONAL PEANUT BUTTER LOVER’S DAY.
Pretty much the best of day of the year and by far the best food holiday! That’s right. I’d even choose it over my love of National Carrot Cake Day.
I’ve professed my love for nut butter in the past, but peanut butter holds a special place in my heart! I was obsessed as a child (I ate PURE pb sandwiches…no jelly to distract me from the good stuff!) and the obsession continues today.
I’ve tried all sorts of nuts and seed butters and really have never had one that I don’t like. But peanut butter always wins out as my favorite.
The creamy richness. The natural sweetness combined with subtle saltiness. The intoxicating smell upon opening the jar! It’s just all so GOOD. Heaven help those who have peanut allergies! (I wouldn’t survive.)
When it comes to peanut butter, I don’t discriminate. I like any and all peanut butters. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have my favorites. Here’s a few varieties I am loving lately…
Crazy Richard’s Creamy Peanut Butter | No salt, no sugar…JUST PEANUTS! So creamy.
Crazy Richard’s Crunchy Peanut Butter | Same amazing-ness as above…just CHUNKY!
Wegmans Natural Creamy Peanut Butter | Nothing but peanuts. Tastes like FRESHLY ground PB and has a slightly grainy texture.
NuttZo Creamy Original Seven Seed & Nut Butter | Not a traditional purist peanut butter, but it’s VERY peanut-y and delicious!
I rotate between these jars regularly!
Today I am sharing my Top 5 Peanut Butter Pairings! AKA the food I most enjoy eating with peanut butter….when I’m not eating it straight from the jar, that is. 😉

Carrots + PB | Gotta love the sweet and salty combo! SO much better than celery and peanut butter!
Rice Cakes + PB | Crunchy, nutty goodness! And the perfect vehicle for adding even more delicious toppings with the peanut butter. Great source of carbs, protein, and fat all at once!
Banana + PB | Specifically FROZEN banana! Tastes like Chunky Monkey ice cream!
Dried Fruit + PB | Tastes like dessert, I swear. I especially love dates, prunes, and apricots with peanut butter. I could dip and dip and never get sick of this sweet n’ salty treat!
Japanese Sweet Potatoes + PB | OMG. FOOD HEAVEN. No words…just try this amazing combo NOW. Starchy, salty, sweet, creamy, PEANUT BUTTERY. All at once!
All of these are total staples in my everyday diet! Yes, peanut butter must make an appearance multiple times a day in my eats. So delicious.
Here are a few other fun uses for peanut butter incase you want to do a little cooking or baking with it…
Well there ya have it! I think we have successfully celebrated National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day! Excuse me while I go spend some quality time with one of my PB jars. 😉
