First off, thank you for all the tweets, facebook messages, emails, and cards wishing me a Happy Birthday! You all are so sweet. It really made my day to wake up to so much love!
I really don’t feel any older. I think 17 is one of those funny in between ages. When you’re 16 you can drive, when you’re 18 you can vote, but when you’re 17 you’re just…older. No real cool stuff comes with it…accept a fun day of celebrating of course. Picture time (I’ll throw in a few words to fill in the blanks though!)…
Woke up to a dozen roses from my momma. A birthday tradition (cause my middle name is rose).
Opening my Grandma’s card at my Birthday dinner.
First present of the night: Seeing my dad! He’s been away for a week.
Since we had to pick my dad up from the airport, we decided to just go some place around there for dinner. PF Changs it was!
Started with some soy.
Mandarin Chicken and Honey Shrimp
My fortune cookie had TWO fortunes in it! Birthday luck, perhaps?
A new Northface! I love brown…something tells me my mom looked at my wish list
My first strand of real pearls!! I love classic jewelry like this…I know I’ll be able to wear these forever!!
I needed to find a baby picture for the yearbook…what a better night to look back and reminisce with old pics. That’s the one I think I’m gonna go with.
A great day ended with some snuggling with the fire on watching a really cool documentary on JFK (we’re all history buffs LOL!).
Here’s to another great year!
Day 9: Inspiring People
My parents are the most inspiring people in my life and I aspire to be like them one day.
