I know, I know. Another list of MUST HAVE products for health and wellness. But hear me out friends, this one is different. Today I am sharing some insider knowledge about the things I use DAILY to stay healthy and happy. Some ‘outside of the box’ products that you may not have thought of when it comes to healthy living! They’re necessary. They’re important. And you NEED to be aware of them.
I like lists. Lists keep me focused, organized, and on track. That includes my daily to-do list AND my personal health checklist. As women, we have specific needs when it comes to reaching our health and wellness goals. We need to take special consideration when it comes to picking out products that will affect (and hopefully AID) our health in someway.
You don’t always know what works and what doesn’t when it comes to personal healthcare before trying things out for yourself. Luckily, I’ve been the guinea pig in this instance and you can trust that all these products I’m recommending work well and do what they say they’re going to do. 🙂
I’ll be honest, many things I tried in the past didnât work…that could be a whole other post in itself Â (AKA 8Â Must NOT Have Products on my Womenâs Health Checklist). But this stuff is GREAT. Read on to see what I’ve been incorporating into my daily life to maintain my health!Â
These new power bowls from Healthy Choice are great for easy, healthy, convenient meals when I’m in a rush! And I’ve been super busy lately with my new job (more details on that soon). The bowls are modern, all natural recipes inspired by international cuisines like Korean, Cuban, and Latin!Â
The ingredients are 100% recognizable and provide BOLD flavor in each one of the meals. They’re made with whole grains, nutrient-dense veggies, and lean, natural proteins. Each one has at least 16 grams of protein and 6-8 grams of fiber! Filling, yummy, and good for you.Â

Before doing one of their at home saliva sample tests, I had no idea how much your genetic history and ancestral origins have to do with your health. I guess I knew genetics were important, but since participating in 23andMe I’ve done a whole lot more research on my genetic history based on my results. Knowing where you came from is CRUCIAL to knowing where you’re going, in my opinion.Â
In a world of FitBits, the new MIO Slice Heart Rate and Activity Tracker offers something a little (or more like A LOT!) different. It features PAI which is a scientifically-validated metric based on heart rate that tells you yourÂ individual needs in terms of activity for a longer, healthier life. It’s calculated based on your age, gender, resting HR, and max HR. The ideal is to maintain a PAI score of 100 or more for the week. This can be done with ANY sort of activity that suits your lifestyle…whether it’s walking, biking, rowing, or going to a fitness class!Â
I know fitness trackers aren’t for everyone, but if you’re going to use one, I really like the MIO Slice. Better to go for something that is more accurate and scientifically backed than a product that isn’t.
You know I am ALL about maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Arm and Hammer Peroxicare with Baking Soda is my GO-TO toothpaste to use daily. I love the addition of baking soda because it makes my mouth feel like the paste is actually working its magic. It sort of tingles while it deeply cleans, so IÂ know the health of my teeth and gums are being maintained.Â
I’ve mentioned this before, but just to reiterate, I take 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of turmeric DAILY. I mix it into smoothies, yogurt bowls, protein ice cream, and oatmeal! Some people worry about the taste, but when you mix it with other fun ingredients, you can’t really taste it at all. In fact, I sort of love the flavor it adds to different things.Â
Turmeric is the ultimate, NATURAL iinflammation fighter. I swear ever since I started taking it daily I’ve been less sore after workouts, recover quicker, and am even HEALING faster. It’s a lifesaver for sure!Â
You know I love my ACV as it is…but I have a new appreciation for Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar drinks. Simply made from ACV, a little fruit juice, spices, purified water, and stevia…these magic elixers taste like heaven and help my digestion a ton! Plus, they’re incredibly refreshing and give me a nice (caffeine-free) boost of energy. My favorite is the Ginger Spice or the Limeade flavor.Â
I know, I know. I body wash that promotes stress relief? Well this one actually works for me. AND it’s clinically tested. There is something about this body wash that is SO soothing. It has a calming effect on me that helps me relax in and after the shower. It also is very moisturizing and makes my skin feel so soft and smooth all day long. I love the scents of lavender, essential chamomile, and ylang-ylang oils that it’s filled with as well.Â
If Slap EVER stops making these BCAAs…I will sue. 😉 But seriously folks, these are the BEST tasting BCAAs I’ve EVER had. I’ve tried a lot. But nothing compares to the sweet, salted caramel flavor of this powdered BCAA product. I add it to my coffee ALL DAY LONG and sip it in non-dairy milk with cinnamon as well. BCAAs help me recover quicker from workouts and make me feel amazing! They aren’t necessary per say, but they totally work with my lifestyle and make me perform at my best. I will not use any other BCAAs besides these until I find something equally as tasty and effective.
