Last week of August is here, which means I am off to NYC next week with my mom! We’ll be exploring the city (my fave thing to do there!) and seeing Hamilton. I am seriously pumped. I memorized the lyrics to the whole show pretty much when it first debuted and have been obsessed ever since. I would have LOVED to have seen the original cast perform it, but I’ll take what I can get. ? I am sure it will be just as an amazing as I imagined!
With that said, I’ll be finishing off this week with one more post and then taking next week fully off as an end of summer break so I can fully enjoy my one on one time with my mom in NY! But I’ll be sure to do a full recap of the trip when I get back. ?
And now for the past month’s favorites…
Magic for Humans
A Netflix original series featuring one of my favorite magician/comedians, Justin Willman. The magic he does is INCREDIBLE. Mind blowing doesn’t even begin to cover his talents. Plus, there are no camera tricks in the show, so that makes it all even more amazing to watch.
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before
A Netflix original movie about a teenage girl who writes love letters to all the boys she’s ever had a crush on. The love has always been unrequited so she never intends on sending the letters. They are more of a way for her to express herself and her emotions. But when they get out for some unknown reason, she must deal with the consequences and the new relationships they form and break. Loved this one!
Another Netflix original series that reminds me of Glee without the music. It follows Patty, a formal “fat girl” who becomes thinner after an unfortunate accident and how that transformation changes her life for better….and for worse. It’s hilarious, facetious, and explores some hard to discuss topics that society needs to be addresses more often.
The Sinner (Season 2)
As if Season 1 wasn’t good (or intense!) enough, Season 2 is just as wild and thrilling with a new storyline and new cast except for Detective Harry Ambrose who carries over from last season.
Just getting into this one after recommendations from TONS of people! But I really like it so far! I used to love the Archie comics when I was little so it’s kind of cool that the show is loosely based off of them.
My dad recently had all of our old VCR home videos converted to DVDs and we’ve been making our way through a few of them each week….laughing out butts off the whole time! It’s hilarious to see yourself younger.
Like regular Larabars with the added benefit of 1/4 cup of greens in every bar!
A healthier version of Corn Nuts with much better ingredients and more flavor!
The best savory granola bars!

Why Courage Matters by John McCain
This isn’t necessarily a new favorite but with the recent passing of John McCain, I wanted to share one of my favorite books of his. I read Why Courage Matters in my undergrad studies and it still holds as one of my favorite books of all time. Highly recommend!
