That’s right folks! I’m back home in the B-Lo! I know….a little confusing because of my post earlier today….but as I said on that one, it was supposed to be posted yesterday!
Before I get to the rest of my recap of my time in Pittsburgh, I just wanted to holla’ at all you new readers out there!!! I have been LOVING all the new commenters and that my blogging community is expanding!!!
Bare with me over the next few days while I try to catch up on everyone’s posts and comments!!!
Okay so where did we leave off…..oh that’s right!!! TRADER JOES!
Suuuriously Buffalo, you need to get on the band wagon…..we neeeed a TRADER JOES!
Since we were walking and I didn’t have access to a fridge or anything…I had to stick with non perishable stuff…..probably a good thing cause I would have been BROKE with all their awesome products!
Last time I bought this was in San Diego!!!
Can’t wait to dig into these goodies!
After TJ’s we walked around a bit more, went to another interview, and then headed back to the hotel.
We had heard that there was an awesome mall right near are hotel….and they (meaning the hotel manager….Hi Renee!) did not lie.
I felt like we stepped onto Rodeo Drive in LA…..talk about swaaaanky. They had very very expensive stores in there…..we’re talkin’ Burberry, Tiffany and Co, Louis Viton, Juicy Couture. Ya know those types of stores you go in and just feel like the sales people are judging you…..yeah, not my fave. But my mom and I had fun window shopping and laughing about how overpriced everything is.
For dinner we hit up the Cheesecake Factory since it was right at the mall. I ordered the…
Added shrimp to the top (which hadn’t come out yet when I took the picture above) for some extra protein and a side of brown rice for a grain.
The side of brown rice was basically a serving big enough for a family of six. That pic was taken after I had already eaten my share! THERE WAS SO MUCH.
This morning we really didn’t have anything planned other than time to explore the city. I wanted to get a feel for it and see if I could picture myself living here for 4 years!
We drove down to the Strip District….home to a bunch of shops (very cool ones!), markets, and vendors!
(For all you chocolate lovers out there…..this was literally the biggest chocolate store ever….they had every kind imaginable!)
(the prettiest Italian pastries ever…)
(their flavors for the day were salted carmel, banana cream pie, pb and j, and vanilla coconut cream….nuff said.)
Such a cool area!
Well, now we’re home relaxing and watching the series finale of Friday Night Lights……my dad got me hooked!
Have you made any fun purchases lately!?!
I am SO jealous of Whitney who just got a vita-mix!!! Time to start saving up for one of those babies!
What are your Sunday plans?
PS: Hit up my formspring with any questions you have for me!!!
