How was everyone’s first (and second? depending on when you’re reading this!) of 2012?! Did you party hard, go see a ball drop, or relax with friends?
My New Year’s was SO low key….I actually stayed in, while my parents without! Lame, right? Eh it wasn’t too bad. I just watched movies, had some yummy snacks, and snuggled with Ella. All things I enjoy…so it wasn’t a bad thing!
So I promise, this will be the last wrap-up/recap/review post of 2011. I know you’re probably sick of them by now…but I got some really cool info regarding the blog that I thought I’d share. If you blog with WordPress or even if you read a lot of WordPress blogs, I am sure you’ve seen the year-end statistics that everyone has been getting lately regarding their blogs. They tell you everything!!
Here are some of my stats (they even involve some of you!):
- If my blog were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take 3 days for the 76,000 people who visited my blog this year to view it.
- I wrote 233 posts this year! My grand total is 369 since first starting the blog in 2010!
- Top referring sites of the year (AKA how people got here!):
- I had visitors from all over the world!
Percentages from abroad:
- Most active commenters (You guys ROCK!!!):
- Most Viewed posts:
Kind of a cool little wrap up to the year! It’s really nice of WordPress to do all that number crunching for each individual blogger….but whom I kidding? They probably have a computer program that does it in like .02 seconds for them! Aaaah technology.
Speaking of technology…
I’m in love.
With a blender.
It’s true what people say…you haven’t blended until you have a Vita-Mix.
Okay so maybe people don’t say that…BUT IT’S TRUE! No chopping or cutting or PREP in general! Just toss everything in and GOOOO!
Creamy deliciousness literally took 1 minute. SO much faster than the food processor I was using before for smoothies!
I don’t really eat smoothies in the winter (I can’t take the cold!)…but for Mr. Vita, I had to end the drought!
AND IT WAS SO WORTH IT! My only problem is that even though I added guar gum like I normally do…the smoothie didn’t puff up and become all whip-creamy like it usually does…any tips from you veteran Vita users?! Maybe I need to add more…or add it at a certain time in the blending process?
Smoothies are making a comeback! I actually have missed them…so I guess I’ll have to get used to being a bit more chili (<-only a foodie right?) chilly! Such a tough sacrifice
Are you officially sick of New Year’s centered posts?
What are your favorite recipes for use in the Vita-Mix? I am looking for inspiration!
What are your favorite “not so well known/popular” workout DVD’s? I need a new virtual trainer LOL! Jillian and Bob are getting a bit old.
