DO IT!! Its such a great deal!!
Like I mentioned over the weekend, I have been getting A TON of mail lately! Especially from some great companies out there…..so be prepared for a long slew of product reviews starting………….NOW!
Now I never thought a product review could be controversial but this next one may be a little bit.
NoOodle sent my 4 packs of their no calorie noodles to test out.
Unlike many people out there, I actually like shiritaki noodles! Before you bite my head off…let me explain. I am in no way trying to lose weight or anything like that. I think products like shiritaki noodles can be a great resource for people trying to diet and lose weight because you get a lot of food for little calories. I like them simply because I like the texture and I always eat them with a serving of regular noodles. To me a serving of pasta is WAAAY to small so I like adding a little volume with these types of noodles to keep me more satisfied. Plus I like to use calories on yummy toppings and sauces rather than the boring the pasta that they go on…..know what I mean?
I have to say though that these are the best no calorie noodles I’ve had! Some brands have a weird taste and smell….but with the NoOodle brand….NOTHING! They taste fresh and pair great with literally any toppings (believe me I’ve tried A LOT)! Plus there are only 3 ingredients: water, yam flour, and lime….so they’re pretty natural too!
Thanks NoOodle! I really enjoyed sampling your “NO-oodles”
Now onto more packages I received!
Bare Fruit snacks sent me the BIGGEST bag of fruit chips I have ever seen! This pick legit doesn’t even do it justice! Its was seriously one of those bags you’d see at Costco (if only I had a Costco…sigh).
Apple and cinnamon…..that’s it. That is all that in this bag of amazingness. The chips are crunchy, sweet and I love that the skin is left on the apples….extra nutrition right there! And I know I’ve got a good product on my hand when my dad likes it! He’s picky about health foods but they minute he tried these he completely hijacked them and kidnapped them away to work. Guess I won’t be seeing those again. But I got to enjoy them for a while at least! They are awesome on yogurt and oatmeal…..adds such nice fall flavor!
Thanks Bare Fruit!!!
Last new product for the night!
Navitas Naturals…one of my FAVORITE health food companies….sent me two bags of their new POWER SNACKS!
The ingredients looked awesome….very simple and and natural. I was excited to dig in!
As much as I wanted to loooove the Citrus Chia bites….I just couldn’t. Usually I like citrus flavored things, but something just seemed…off. The texture was good…chew, crunch, and softness. But something about the citrus-y flavor just didn’t agree with me.
Luckily the product line totally redeemed itself with the Cacao Goji! As soon as I opened the bag I could smell the luscious cocoa aroma. OMG so yummy! These were like chocolatey bites of heaven. Bitter and sweet all at the same time! And so fudgy!!! I would total eat these as snack and for a quick pick me up. I definitely want to try them before a run because they are small enough that I don’t think they’d cause a stomach ache, but have enough nutrients to give me some energy!
And as promised here are some outfit pics from the first few days of school!
[awkward self pic : romper from target, sweater from White House Black Market]
Phew! Whirlwind of a post right there! Tomorrow I have some yummy eats to show ya in honor of WIAW and some questions I‘ve recently got from readers and want to share with ya!
Have you tried any of these products?
Do you feel comfortable giving negative reviews if its actually how you feel?
Sometimes I feel bad for doing it since the company was being so generous in letting me sample their products. But I also know I owe it to all of you to be honest with my experience!
Got a question for me? Ask it in them comments or on Formspring and I’ll include it in the post tomorrow!
Ps: Got some baking in today…FINNALY! So stay tuned for a yummy recipe later this week too!
