I am learning to accept change.
Sometimes life throws you a curve ball and you are forced to deal with it head on. There’s no way around it…it just has to be dealt with. You all know I am one for routines and “sameness” in a way…but right now I am learning that I have to adapt. It’s really eye opening.
I am remembering that writing is my outlet.
Hence, the not so long break…
I am thinking about my future.
I am rediscovering the importance of truth.
(more on this subject tomorrow)
I am embracing active living.
Walks and yoga>running and gym time…at least for right now. Its what feels right.
I am listening more intently to myself.
When you really tune in, you discover just how hard it really is to do so and how much you were slacking on it beforehand.
I am redefining what being productive means to me.
I am accepting that life has its phases.
If the one you are in now seems hard, you can get through it knowing that something better and different is right around the corner.
I am learning from my past.
I am realizing that you can’t make the same mistake twice.
The second time it’s a choice.
I am shifting my priorities.
I am acknowledging that nothing is forever.
Even if you can’t do something right now…it doesn’t always have to be that way. If you persevere through tough times, in no time you will be back to living exactly the life you want to live.
I am taking up new hobbies and discovering new passions.
I am clearing the clutter and getting organized in a whole new way.
Both physically and mentally.
I am finding me.
And right now…I am thanking all of you.
I know this post and the last few have been a bit cryptic…but I want you all to know I am okay.
Thank you for all the comments, tweets, emails, and all around genuine outreaches of support this past week. You reminded me that during tough times, the worst thing you can do is fold into yourself and stop connecting with others. The community we’ve built here is so strong and SO helpful. That’s why I’ve decided I am going to keep blogging at my normal frequency. It truly is my outlet for expression and stress relief…and being connected with all of you on a regular basis helps immensely!
So I have a little giveaway for you all just to show how much you really do mean to me!
Some of my favorite products are up for grabs and there will be two winners! Believe me…if I had enough money to send you all a prize…I WOULD! (sadly, shipping costs are B*TCH!! )

Keep smiling, and remember life goes on. Everything happens for a reason. And everything is a blessing in disguise. You can get through this! Everyone has moments in their lives where it’s not gonna be how they want it to be and they don’t understand why it’s happening. I can completely relate to that right now too. You have to accept life with opens arms, ya know? I love what you said here Kaila. It’s great that you’ve realized what you need to do in order to cope with what you’re going through. Best of luck to you <3

Trying to listen and learn from other bloggers such as yourself, who are able to make such admirable decisions regarding their lives, or the way that they approach life, is something that may well help me to ‘live’ in a better way.
It sounds like you’ve come to some important realizations, and I really hope they bring positive changes for you <3

That first prize is sooooo calling to me. More importantly, your honesty is speaking to my heart. Here is what I am doing to live my best life right now: spending time with my eldest son as he makes his way through college selection. He’ll move all the way across the country for school next year and I want to enjoy his company (except when he’s surly) for as long as possible. The 17 years I’ve “had” him have been too quick.

Right now I’m taking the time to think.
I recently broke my leg and iv to be in crutches for 6 weeks. It was a bad overuse injury due to severly over exercising- which Is a problem iv had for years and making me miss out on life. This injury has been quite eye-opening. So right now I’m , to live my best life, I’m having to do some serious thinking about what changes I can make to become healthier.

Something I do to live my best life is to stick to my running and yoga schedules. My workouts help clear my mind so I can live a happy and healthy life 🙂 The time and effort that I put into my workouts allow me to relax and think over things that are stressing me out or bugging me.

For me to live my best life, I try to make sure I get in some kind of exercise every day. My preferred workout is running, and it helps me to feel good and clear my head. Hello! I love this post ! I have been in and out of doctors offices and ER’s the last few days 🙁 I have this awful burning pain in my abdomen that keeps on growing worse and worse. The doctors cant figure out what it is yet, I just want to be better. But through it all, I’ve realized that I have been leading a restrictive lifestyle; with my diet and exercising. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, and I think I take things too far sometimes. I’m realizing life is too short to be so hard on yourself. I am making changes to live my life to the fullest, there is still so much I want to do and see in life. I can lead a healthy lifestyle and experience so much more in life. I want to try something new every single day. Not being able to exercise this past week was hard for me, but it has really caused me to put my priorities in order. Sometimes we take for granted just being able to workout and be healthy. I know God has big plans, and I plan on helping others. It’s my passion. Thank you for this beautiful post. I followed you on twitter, but I deleted my facebook for lent, so I cannot “like” your page.

I enjoyed your post. I just stumbled across your blog, and I think it’s great! I just started my own, actually, which is one thing I’m doing to live my best life. I also try to be mindful of what I eat, exercise regularly, and learn as much as I can from others about health. My mental health is a bit more challenging to control! But every day, I pray, make happy lists, and try not to stress about the things I can’t control. Happy blogging! 🙂
