Let your mind wander…there’s no need to be productive 24/7
Don’t worry about what others thing of you…you know who you really are
Don’t try to change the minds of those who don’t matter…remember those who matter don’t mind and those who mind don’t matter
Refrain from judging others…we all have our own unique struggles
Be mindful of what you say from the comfort of your social media account…remember there’s a another human being on the other side of that screen
Think before you speak…reactionary statements are the ones that can land you in trouble
Smile at a stranger…you don’t know the difference that could make in their day
Call a loved one or friend you haven’t spoken to in a while…you can’t take for granted having them in your life
Say three things out loud that you like about yourself…the more you say it the more it will sink in
Look beyond what meets the eye…you never know the inner turmoil someone is facing
Have conviction in your beliefs…your opinion matters
Don’t let the criticism of others lower your self worth…you don’t need that negativity in your life
Walk barefoot outside…when’s the last time you felt the grass underneath your feet?
Give someone a compliment on something other than appearance…focus on what makes them unique as a person
Don’t get caught up in gossip or complaining…there is so much more to life than tearing others down
Unplug…tune in with your surroundings
Let go of the scale…the food scale, the weight scale, the way you scale yourself in comparison with others
Connect with your family…invest in a good conversation and be present
Give thanks…there really is so much more good in the world than we realize
Wear your favorite outfit…just because it’s pretty and makes you feel confident
Don’t let food cause you anxiety…it’s inanimate, it only holds the power that you give to it
Walk with intention…shoulders back, head held high
Look to the future with excitement…reminisce fondly about the past
Rest…mentally and physically
Embrace change…remember nothing in our world is static
Stop trying to create a beautiful body…start focusing on creating a beautiful life
Hold hope for yourself…everything is okay in the end and if you’re not okay, it’s not the end
And maybe, just maybe, if you implement a few of these things just for today they can slowly make their way into your everyday life.
Some other food for thought for your day…

Just needed to do a little thinking out loud this week as opposed to my traditional WIAW. I’ll be back next week with the food goodness! Until then, I’d love to know…
What pro-YOU choice can you make today?
Do you believe that implementing small daily changes can make life long impacts?

I’m loving this post! I found myself doing a few of these today. My mind wondered all over the place today, as we weren’t that busy at work.

yes yes yes
SMALL STEPS do create huge change.
just for today I wont (whispers) whine about the crappy a/c but will focus on how lucky I am to have a home.
YES. Acknowledging small changes in perspective like that are so key!
This is such a beautiful little reminder or meditation!
I love the idea of using this as a meditation!
I love this post Kaila! Such great reminders. It is easy to lose sight of what is really important in the craziness of our lives.

Thanks Mary! 🙂
One of my favorite quotes is “those who matter don’t mind and those who mind don’t matter.” That alone has gotten me through many situations in life. As a society, we all too often forget to do these things regularly. Great post!
Thank you so much Annette! One of my favorites as well!
These are awesome! Thanks for sharing! <3
