Pics and Questions! (Catch that little combo of words up there ^??? I am a genius right!?! Hehe yaaaah not so much.) That’s what this post it all about! I have a tiny Q and A sesh for you all, as well as some (or well….A TON) of pics from my mom and I ‘s trip to a local nature preserve yesterday! We rode our bikes up (12 miles round trip!) and ended up walking around for about an hour, soaking up the sun as we went. Good thing we got in so much sun yesterday because it has been rainy and miserable here ALL day.
Time to remember the sunshine
(froggy friend )
I love nature.
From my last giveaway one of the ways you could answer was by asking me a questions of formspring….so I got a lot of great questions to answer! Here’s a few of them:
Do you ever been hesitant to publish a post for fear of criticism or negative comments?
This is such a great question! And the answer is YES. Whenever you’re sharing your own opinions and thoughts you’re bound to offend someone simply because we’re all unique and have our own thoughts. So its definitely something I’ve thought about while blogging. Also, since this is a web blog and is open to everyone, sometimes its hard to judge how much or little I should be saying. It is MY blog and I really do enjoy talking about my life with you all but because its so open and I don’t know who exactly is reading I do have to definitely take into consideration what I write.
Negative comments definitely stink. But the few I do get are totally stomped into the ground in the midst of all the wonderfully, amazing, supportive comments I receive. Someone out there is bound to find something they don’t agree with in my posts and if they feel they need to express themselves in an emotionally charged and angry fashion…then so be it. Speaking my mind and being my true self is totally worth the possibility of receiving a bit of negativity. < /p>
What made you start blogging?
I started blogging after being a silent reader for about a year. I found the healthy living blog community through a recipe search on google and from then on started reading A TON of blogs! I just instantly fell in love. And after reading for a while I figured “hey it would be fun to not only read these blogs….but WRITE one!”. So I tried it out and discovered writing to be a real passion of mine. More on my story on my Meet the Healthy Helper page.
If you were stuck on an island and had to bring one thing with you, what would it be?
One thing!?!?! Come on ya couldn’t give me two!?! Hmm this tough. But I’d have to say my computer (with Wifi of course!). Pretty much anything I needed I could get with my computer if ya think about it, because I could look anything up! If I needed to know if a native island fruit was edible I could google it, I could look up how to build a shelter, and skype with someone to let them know I was stuck on an island…oh and of course stay in touch with all of you!!!
Hiya! I noticed that you’ve been doing college tours this summer. What colleges are you looking at?/Which colleges in Boston did you visit?
I have only had time to visit colleges on the east coast even thought I really LOVE the west coast….especially California! But so far I’ve checked out Boston U, Boston College, Tufts, NYU, U. of Pittsburgh, and Carnegie Mellon! There were a few that really stood out and one in particular I pretty much fell in love with (hint hint).
Enjoy your Sunday!!
