I pretty much feel like I am made to be one! I am seriously SWIMMING in samples lately! Packages seem to be arriving everyday from all sorts of awesome companies! So stay tuned for a slew of reviews over the coming days/weeks…some of which I have for you today! Here is the full list of products I have on tap to be reviewed in the near future:
Speaking of Melissa’s….this picture I showed you yesterday is the result of one of the products they sent me! No one guessed that they were…
CREPES! I know, I am being a tease but you’ll have to wait for my full review of all their products to get the recipe. I can assure you they are worth the wait
For you today, however, I do have some equally as delicious foods to share…
I mentioned a while back that Attune sent me some cereals to try out! Being the cereal fiend that I am, I jumped at the opportunity to try these two new (to me!) cereals.
Corn Flakes and Raisin Bran!
Now you may be thinking…”these are pretty common cereals”….but not the way Attune makes them!
Not only are they ten times healthier than their more popular counterparts, but these cereals taste good too!
I am a big fan of the short ingredient lists on both these cereals! I mean you can go wrong with corn and sea salt for the corn flakes and NO SUGAR ADDED raisin bran! Just raisins and wheat provide all the flavor you need…unlike this sugar bomb:
And obviously (by the fact that’s its only two ingredients are corn and salt!), the corn flakes are unsweetened too! I love this because it allows for the natural sweetness of the corn to really come through. Why don’t people see that foods are naturally full of flavor?! No need for all those additives!
So taste? Check and check for both these babies! But they also had flying colors for my crunch test!
I loooove to douse my cereal in milk (almond preferably ), but I also like when my cereal maintains a certain level of crunch to it….you see my dilemma. Attune did a great job of making a both these flaked cereals hearty enough to not go soggy immediately after hitting the milk, but light enough to still maintain a crunch!
And I also had the opportunity from Siggi’s to try out there latest flavors of skyr!
They sent me some coupons to buy the new flavors….
Coconut and Pineapple!
Before these two flavors, Siggi’s produced exclusively 0% yogurts…but I have to say, they do a pretty good job on the other end of the spectrum too! These 2% yogurts were FULL of flavor and incredibly rich and creamy. Did you even think it was possible for Siggi’s to create a more creamy yogurt? I certainly didn’t!
But I was definitely proven wrong!
Staying true to Siggi’s usual standards, these yogurts were not overly sweet with just subtle hints of the flavor they were named for. I really liked this because I am not a huge coconut fan so I didn’t want the flavor to be to overpowering. And I will fill you in the a little secret…a spoonful of pineapple followed by a spoonful of coconut is basically a tropical flavor paradise for your mouth! Try them to together! I HIGHLY suggest it!
[I have a feeling I am not the first one to try that! ]
Thanks Siggi’s! You all are definitely on to something with your new flavors!
Wow, I didn’t think trying such yummy food could be so exhausting!
Kidding of course….I really enjoy it and I am so lucky to be able to do it!
I wanted to thank you all for the input on what workouts I should try out! I will definitely be looking into your suggestions and I was happy to hear that I am not the only one going through a phase like this! I think its bound to happen to everyone at one point or another!
Also, I was excited about the response to my proposed “focus on” posts! Just to clarify…these posts are not going to be advocating or discouraging the diets/eating philosophies I cover. They are merely to clear up the misconceptions surrounding them in society and lay down some concrete facts so we can understand them a little better! And with that, I would love all of you to help me decide what my first Focus On post will be about…
Some topics I have in mind so far:
