Happy WIAW to everyone!
I did not take many food pics over the past few days so I am not really going to participate this week, but I will show ya two yummy things I had today!

Something I did want to do today though was share with you all the progress I’ve made so far on my 101 in 1001 list! Only a few things have gotten done……hey most of the things on the list are a reach anyways……but it’s been nice to check off a few things already! Here’s what I’ve done so far:

You seem to eat a lot of low cal things, do you know how many calories you eat a day since you work out a TON!
First off, I don’t show even half of what I eat in a day on my blog (even my WIAW posts don’t show everything!). Secondly I am an athlete and have been since I was little so my level of working out is completely normal for me. I always make sure to take rest when my body needs it and never push more than I know my body can handle.
Remember, most blogs (mine included) are just about sharing fun tid bits of peoples lives…I am never ever gonna photograph everything I eat (who has the time and energy to do that!?!?) so what I do show may be deceiving. But I am perfectly healthy and make sure I refuel properly after all workouts and just for everyday living!
And I do not know how many calories I eat in a day….and I don’t even care to know. I have never counted calories and never will. I trust my body completely to tell me what it needs. Hasn’t failed me yet!
What are your plans for after high school (college, career, etc)? Where do you want to go and what do you see yourself doing?
I plan on going to college in a BIG city! I really don’t like my hometown and I want to go somewhere that’s hustlin’ and bustlin’ all the time! I am planning to major in pre-med! After school I want to join Dr’s without Borders to help bring medical care to impoverished/third world countries. I have always been big into travel and volunteer work so this kind of combines both!
What was the last thing you ate that would be considered "unhealthy" and how long ago was it?
I don’t really like to think of foods as BAD or UNHEALTHY. I just like to think that some foods are better choices than others. If ya think about it, anything could be considered "healthy" in moderation. I would say the last "less healthy" thing I ate was some of my moms homemade strawberry shortcake! And it was delicious!
Love the blog! i was just wondering if you ever dealt with any sort of eating disorder? I’m still recovering from one and i know that many young girls with blogs are too. if you have, how did you deal with it to be in the happy place you are today? Thanks
I have never had an eating disorder, but as a girl I have definitely dealt with pressures to look a certain way. I am in a great place now however. I went through some really rough patches at school with friends during a time when I was very vulnerable and still trying to find myself. After getting through that though in one piece I was able to see the strength I had inside and realized that it really doesn’t matter what other people think of me or what I look like. What really matters is my happiness and the positive impact I can make on the world. I hope your journey to recovery keeps going well! 🙂
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, and who gave it to you?
You have to love yourself before you can love others….my momma told me that one 🙂
How often do you eat prepackaged foods and what do you have when you do eat them? (brands, product type, etc)
Sometimes…..like breads, crackers, some cereals. I always make sure all the ingredients are recognizable and as "close to the source" as possible! Some of my fave brands are food for life, natures path, dr. kracker, galaxy granola….there’s a ton though so that’s definitely not all of them.
Do you live more in the past or the present?
I try to live in the present as much as possible….but I actually always have trouble thinking to much about the future sometimes!
What are your opinions on naturally sugared foods (dates, bananas, etc) vs unnaturally sugared foods (cereal, graham crackers, etc)? Do you think natural sugar is a lot healthier for you than regular or do you think they both are the same?
I think that naturally occurring sugar from fruits is A LOT healthier than those from sweetened foods. The way our bodies process the sugar from fruit and naturally sweet foods is different than how it handles processed sugar.
Are you a vegetarian?
Not exactly but I am not a big meat eater….I eat fish regularly and have poultry (chicken or turkey) about once or twice a week. But a lot of my meals are veg.
What kind of chocolate do you like? (Like what percentage of cocao
content. 45%, 72%, 10% etc)
I actually not a bug chocolate eater….I prefer carob. But when I do have it I like it DARK….anything above 85% is my fave!
How old are you?
I am 16!
Favorite food to cook? Bake?
Favorite food to cook is soups and stews….you can be so creative and at the same time throw a bunch of random things together and end up with something amazing! My favorite thing to bake are muffin tops! I have tons of recipes under my YUM tab on my blog if you’re interested!
What’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought?
About how many times a week do you do something with a friend?
I would say normally about twice a week….but over these past few weeks since school and exams have been CRAAAZY…its been a little less than that sadly! I can’t wait for summer when I have time to see my friends everyday!
Have you ever binged before or struggle with binge eating?
I haven’t actually. I definitely eat more on some days than I do on others and I have definitely over eaten before…..but never to the point where I would call it a binge. I don’t eat a lot of junk food as it is….out of preference and taste not for restrictive purposes……so I haven’t really ever felt the urge to binge. Hope this answers the question!
How much do you weigh? can you please post a full day eats? do you have binge?
To tell ya the truth I don’t ever weigh myself! The only time I ever get weighed is at the dr. But even if I did know how much I weighed I wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing it because it really is JUST a number and I wouldn’t want people comparing themselves to me or comparing me to others.
