I came. I shopped. I conquered.
To be honest, I HATE spending money. I ‘m a bit of a cheapskate (for pretty much anything besides FOOD of course! ), and am always looking for a good deal. Don’t get me wrong, I love shopping! So that’s why I couldn’t say no when my friends planned a mall trip this weekend.
Happy to report I only spent 20 bucks though! And I got some cute stuff so it’s a win-win.
(excuse the bad pic….got these two things plus a sports bra and some comfy shorts!)
The Farmers Market called for a little shopping action too…too bad they STILL don’t have any good produce!!! Here’s some pics of what they did have:
(kittens for adoption! I wanted one )
Oh well, I made up for the lack of food purchases at the market by picking some stuff up at the health food store:
THEY FINALLY GOT MY HUMUS IN STOCK! It’s been over 3 weeks!!!!
(this picture doesn’t do this cucumber justice…it was literally two feet long!)
And of course, since it was Father’s day weekend….I couldn’t forget to treat Dad to a lil’ something….
He absolutely loves making homemade popcorn so I hooked him up with some fun new ingredients to try out when he makes it: black truffle oil (smells amazing), an all natural cheese sprinkle, habanero salt, and some organic multi-colored popcorn (I thought it was pretty )!
Speaking of Dad’s day……I started the morning off by making my dad some special pancakes!
(I’ll give ya a hint: Vanilla Banana Nut!)
But I can’t share the recipe with you just yet because I am featuring it in a guest post for Carrie over at MovesnMunchies later this week! So stay tuned for that.
Also, check out Emma’s blog on Monday where I’ll be featured as the Athlete of the Week! So excited about that! Thanks Emma!
And before I go, I have to share this combo I ‘ve been eating lately! It is seriously addicting and makes me feel wonderful:
BASIL AND GARLIC
Instantly jazzes up ANY dish! I have been loving it on lentil soup with chopped tomatoes…..
SO good. And totally worth the garlic breath.
Welp, I hope everyone had a fun relaxing weekend with their families. It certainly was nice spending time with mine.
Did you do anything special for Fathers Day?
What’s your favorite herb?
Have a great day/night or whenever you’re reading this….just enjoy yourself.
